34 years of steady, ongoing action!
ARAS was founded in April 1992.
It is one of the first anti-AIDS associations in Romania and one of the first Romanian non-governmental organisations established after 1989.
In recognition of its contribution to the national response to the HIV epidemic, at the Romanian Government meeting of 14 September 2022 a Government Decision was adopted recognising the Romanian Association Against AIDS as an organisation of public utility.
